Curso en Blended Intensive Program in electrical characterisation of photovoltaic devices by novel didactic resources

Presentación

In line with the objective defined by the Erasmus+ Programme Guide and the Higher Education Mobility KA131 Handbook, this course tries to achieve goals like suitability, digitalisation and internationalisation through an intensive course related to photovoltaic energy.
The electrical response of a photovoltaic device has become a typical course in European higher education engineering centres due to the high demand for professionals in the renewable energy sector. These courses need a practical component in the laboratory by which the student can gain practical skills regarding these devices. Nevertheless, these practical activities require costly equipment, adequate facilities (open space free of shadows) or suitable weather conditions (sunny days, scarce in East Europe). As a result, many students suffer from a lack of real experience in the laboratory managing photovoltaic devices. In other cases, students have not analysed ever real data from experiments carried out by them. This blend-intensive program attempts to address this gap in knowledge in student curricula.

The main objectives of this course are listed below.

- Participants will gain practical skills related to the electrical response of photovoltaic devices by using novel laboratory equipment and conducting outdoor measurements.
- Students will boost their digital abilities by using advanced software that empowers them to analyse the experimental data appropriately.
- The course pursuits raise concern about the key role of renewable energies in reaching sustainability targets and the importance of enhancing the institutions’ cross-border activities.

Between 5-10 students from each participant university from abroad (Lublin University of Technology, Polytechnical University of Turin and University of Salerno), and a number of students from the hosting University (UJAEN) yet to decide (minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3). Moreover, students from higher education institutions holding an ECHE - 2021-2027 could participate as well.

Students participating in the Blended Intensive Program are expected to have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 18. Between 5-10 students from each participant university from abroad (Lublin University of Technology, Polytechnical University of Turin and University of Salerno), and a number of students from the University yet to decide (minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3). Moreover, students from higher education institutions holding an ECHE - 2021-2027 could participate if the sum of students coming from universities from abroad does not reach the number of 15. It allows for a conformation of multicultural groups involving 1-3 students from each university.

Selection process: The instruction team will select students who show a better CV in relation to the following requirements :
1) Level of English
2) Engineering bachelor or master studies related to photovoltaic energy
3) Academic mark record
4) Knowledge of photovoltaic energy
5) Knowledge of Matlab
